A little about me.

I’m a doctoral-level clinical psychologist in Calgary working with children, teens, young adults, and parents. I blend warmth, curiosity, playfulness, and humour with a creative and responsive approach to meet your unique needs. I’d love to collaborate with you to understand what’s been happening and together find a way forward.

My approach

We are all good creatures.

I believe that all of us are fundamentally good. We’re all out here, just trying our best in a messy, complicated world.

When behaviour or emotional expression looks wild, rigid, or confusing, I think it’s important to look for what is underneath: the unmet need, the undeveloped skill, the intention, the challenge.

All behaviour communicates something worth understanding. Sometimes we just need to listen differently.

Finding a psychologist is personal

You might feel at home here if…

Everyone needs something different. We might be a good fit if some of these feel familiar.

You’re open, curious, and ready to try something different.

You want to better understand the challenges and patterns that show up in your life. You feel ready to work toward meaningful change, even though it might feel scary. You’re willing to reflect, try new approaches, practice between appointments, and give the process time.

You want to better understand how your mind works.

You’re curious about the unique ways you or your child learn, think, or experience the world. You want to make sense of strengths and struggles, build compassion, and feel more confident asking for the support you or your child need.

You’re tired of anxiety calling the shots.

You want to understand your anxious brain, learn to face what feels scary, and build a life that isn’t organized around avoiding discomfort.

You see their strengths, and how hard things can be.

Your child might be curious, bright, creative, sensitive, intense, or full of unexpected ideas. Their gifts are striking… so why do other things seem so unexpectedly hard?

You’re worried about your child.

You’ve tried different approaches, but things still feel uncertain or difficult. You’re looking for a fresh perspective and clearer direction on how to help.

You want someone to take the time to understand.

You or your child may have felt misunderstood. You’re looking for someone who listens carefully, welcomes complexity, and sees strengths alongside struggles.

On a personal note

When I’m not working, I’m usually chasing my kid around, spending time with family, messing around in my garden, reading books, baking too many cookies, crocheting, teaching myself some random new skill, or playing outside in the mountains.
